The Mars Flag
The Mars flag is the primary visual symbol of our mission. It consists of three vertical bands of red, green, and blue, symbolizing the transformation of Mars from a barren red planet to a terraformed world with plant life and water.

Space Heritage
Flown into space aboard Space Shuttle Discovery on mission STS-103 by astronaut John M. Grunsfeld. This historic artifact now hangs at Mars Society headquarters.
Clear Space Requirements
Maintain clear space equal to 1/3 the height of the flag on all sides
- Use the flag at appropriate sizes
- Maintain proper color values
- Respect clear space guidelines
- Use on dark or light backgrounds with proper contrast
- Alter the proportions of the stripes
